Lyrics
[verse]
He came barefoot down the river road
With a sack of seeds and a book to share
Tore a chapter for the farmer's wife
Said I'll bring the next one when I'm passing there
[chorus]
News, news right fresh from heaven
Plant an apple, plant a prayer
Every seed is a word from heaven
And the orchard's growing everywhere
[verse]
He would never hurt a living thing
Not the wolf, the worm, or the bee
Said the world is a mirror of the world above
And the Lord is in every tree
[chorus]
News, news right fresh from heaven
Plant an apple, plant a prayer
Every seed is a word from heaven
And the orchard's growing everywhere
