Every part of this song on its own — to remix it, sing over it, or learn it. Made with Demucs (MIT) on our own servers.
Lyrics
[verse]
We are a humble people far away
We do not dress in finery or gold
We think upon the Lord through night and day
And keep the simple ways our fathers told
[chorus]
There's a belt of light across our sky
A ring around the world where the evening lies
When I lay me down beneath the branches high
I'll go walking up that belt of light
[verse]
We do not hide our dead beneath the stone
We lay them down in leaves and let them rest
The body is a garment we have known
The soul goes on to where the Lord knows best
[chorus]
There's a belt of light across our sky
A ring around the world where the evening lies
When I lay me down beneath the branches high
I'll go walking up that belt of light
